Jack Johnson to embark on a 43-date North American tour in 2026
Jack Johnson recently announced a forthcoming tour and surf documentary.
Jack Johnson is riding a new wave. The beloved singer-songwriter and surfer has officially announced his “SURFILMUSIC” North American 2026 Tour, a 43-date coast-to-coast run that promises to blend music, film, and ocean-inspired storytelling into one immersive experience. The tour pitstops include Laguna Beach, Philadelphia, Chicago, Raleigh, Dallas, Santa Barbara, Nashville, West Palm Beach, and more. Not only will Jack visit major metropolitan areas, but he will also traverse bucolic mountain towns like Riverside, Montana, Greenwood Village, Colorado, West Valley City, Utah, and Bend, Oregon.
In tandem with the tour announcement, Johnson dropped a brand-new single, “Hold On To The Light,” featuring acclaimed instrumental duo Hermanos Gutiérrez. The single is a lush, meditative track that glides effortlessly between Johnson’s signature acoustic warmth and the Gutiérrez brothers’ desert-sunset guitars. It’s the perfect preview of what fans can expect from the upcoming SURFILMUSIC documentary and soundtrack, both slated for release next year.
Fans can register now for the official tour presale at JackJohnsonMusic.com, with early access kicking off Monday, November 10 at 10 AM PT. Given Johnson’s enduring popularity and the rarity of such an expansive tour, tickets are expected to move quickly.
The SURFILMUSIC project reflects Johnson’s long-standing commitment to blending art with environmental awareness. From his early surf films to his ongoing sustainability work, the Hawaii native has built a career around the intersection of creativity, community, and conservation. The new documentary will reportedly explore the music of the ocean, both literally and spiritually, capturing the rhythms, imagery, and environmental urgency that define Johnson’s worldview. The documentary will chronicle the life of a surfer, someone who deeply loves the sea.
Meanwhile, “Hold On To The Light” serves as an emotional anchor, inviting listeners to slow down, reconnect, and rediscover beauty in simplicity, something Johnson has always done best.
With SURFILMUSIC, Johnson isn’t just touring: he’s curating a full-circle experience. He views his work as a love letter to the sea, an ode to storytelling, and a salute to the calm after waves break. Expect campfire choruses, surf-town sunsets, and the kind of soulful ease that reminds us why we first fell in love with his sound.
