Day Trip announces festival expansion including brand new Long Beach Amphitheater
All aboard for Day Trip Long Beach — where house/techno music meets the harbor and the party officially makes waves.
Insomniac Events will bring its Day Trip Festival to the newly unveiled Long Beach Amphitheater in 2026, marking the largest expansion in the event’s history. Set for June 27–28, 2026 in Long Beach, California, the waterfront favorite will expand to three stages for the first time, with the Long Beach Amphitheater serving as a newly added third stage.
The new Long Beach Amphitheater is a major enhancement to the festival’s established home along the harbor. The 11,000-capacity open-air venue will operate alongside Day Trip’s existing waterfront stages, significantly increasing capacity, production capabilities and programming flexibility. The festival will continue to take over the Queen Mary Waterfront and Shoreline Village including the High Tide Stage and the Deep End Stage, where it has built its identity as a sun-soaked celebration of house and techno.

By integrating the amphitheater into its current footprint, Day Trip will stretch further across the shoreline, creating three distinct environments that blend ocean views, skyline backdrops and immersive stage design. The new amphitheater is the largest waterfront amphitheater on the West Coast and Long Beach’s first dedicated open-air music venue. It is designed to reflect the city’s creative grit and diversity, making it a natural fit for the festival’s community-driven energy.
The expansion underscores how far Day Trip has come since its early days as a Sunday party at The Patio at Academy LA. Now entering its sixth year, the two-day event draws fans from across the country and consistently delivers lineups stacked with global talent, including Dom Dolla, Fisher, John Summit, Gorgon City and BLOND:ISH.
With three stages operating across its established waterfront home, Day Trip Long Beach 2026 represents not just growth, but a full-scale evolution of the fan experience.
