deadmau5 to perform in a 50,000-square-foot bounce house

deadmau5 will DJ a Halloween weekend at Colorado’s Bounce Empire on November 1st.

deadmau5 is swapping the club for the inflatable castle. The Canadian producer has added an all-ages date to this year’s ‘Day of the deadmau5’ celebrations. It takes place on Sunday, November 1st at Bounce Empire in Lafayette, Colorado.

The show is billed as a “Family Experience” and falls on Día de los Angelitos, the day in Día de los Muertos traditions that honors children who have passed. Bounce Empire is a 50,000-square-foot indoor amusement park with more than 50 attractions, from giant inflatables and slides to obstacle courses and competitive games. At its center is a 360° hydraulic concert stage wrapped by a 67-foot circular transparent LED screen, which will show Día de los Muertos themed visuals during the performance.

The Bounce Empire date caps a big Halloween weekend in Colorado for Joel Zimmerman. ‘Day of the deadmau5’ started at Red Rocks Amphitheater in 2019 and has grown since then, including a four-city run in 2023 that ended with two nights at the famous venue. This year he’ll headline Red Rocks on October 30th and 31st, his first time playing the amphitheater on Halloween night itself, before heading to Lafayette the next evening.

Don’t expect a full headline set, though. Doors open at 6 PM, and deadmau5 takes the 360° stage at 6:30 PM for a 45-minute DJ set. Organizers say every attendee will be within about 25 feet of the decks. A 15-minute meet-and-greet is also planned.

Tickets come in three tiers: $75 for Early Bird, $100 for General Admission, and $150 for VIP. Every ticket also works as a Bounce Pass, so holders can use the park all day. At 5:30 PM, anyone without an event ticket has to leave, and from then on only show attendees are allowed in. The event is open to all ages, but every guest must sign a Bounce Empire waiver before entry.

The world would be a better place if we gave, in kindness and in mercy, to those who need it most with no expectation in return.
