They say the move is about growth, reflection, and getting back to what originally inspired them as artists.

In a recent post on X, BTSM talked about how the bass scene right now is packed with early 2010s pop remixes and viral TikTok moments. They made it clear there is “NO SHADE,” pointing out that the trend clearly works and a lot of producers are doing well following it. Still, they admitted that sound feels far from the music that made them fall in love with producing in the first place.

As their new show gets closer, the group said they have spent the last few months reflecting on the music that pulled them into electronic music and how they have evolved over the past 15 years. That reflection led to a clear decision to return to their roots. For BTSM, leaning into electro and techno simply feels natural right now.
