Liquid Stranger Combines Old and New Sounds with Stacked ‘DIMENSIONS EP’ Feat. Sully

WAKAAN label head Liquid Stranger has released a dynamic new EP titled ‘DIMENSIONS’ featuring Sully.

Following the widespread success of ‘BALANCE‘ in late April, Swedish-born sonic wizard Martin Stääf aka Liquid Stranger is already back with new music. With the full-length release from earlier this year still in circulation in electronic music circles, the WAKAAN label posterchild has now dropped a 4-track EP titled ‘DIMENSIONS.’

In just a little over fifteen minutes, he is able to take listeners on a galactic trip full of color and darkness alike. The theme of space is an intentional one, and this is evident from the lyrics that repeatedly reference extraterrestrial beings and UFOs. If you were wondering why this feels so spacey, it’s probably because the musician responsible had that particular vision in mind.

‘DIMENSIONS’ is quick and effective in its execution. It’s rich yet brief, making you either want to replay the EP or go a few months back and throw on ‘BALANCE.’ Much like the title, this new package will pull you away into what feels like another reality and have you back where you unknowingly started in no time!

Through a series of bass-heavy wave patterns, this EP will have your body involuntarily moving at different rhythms. This is a testament to Liquid Sword’s creditability and the recognition he has built for pioneering freeform bass music. With features from Crooked Bangs, Yana Mahal and labelmate Sully, these four cuts were designed to leave a lasting impression.

After wrapping up the sold-out WAKAAN Music Festival 2022, Liquid Stranger is all set to for his nationwide DIMENSIONS Tour. Joined by Tripp St., Ravenscoon and Tape B, this trek will also involve a number of specially curated WAKAAN takeovers in New York at Avant Gardner and Suwanee’s Hulaween with artists such as Jantsen, TVBOO, Buku, G-REX and VEIL, along with a three-night run at Mission Ballroom in Denver, Colorado.
