Lucii Opens Up About Intense “Depression” Battle After Rezz Breakup

The split up with Rezz took a toll on Lucii’s mental health, she reveals the intense “depression” she’s been fighting. 

Lucii shared her struggle with overcoming severe depression post-split with Rezz. In February 2020 Lucii and Rezz initiated their love affair. Their flirtatious engagement on social media led to speculation about their relationship status. Within a short time, the two were gushing over their newfound love, tweeting about dates and serenades on IG Live. 

Unfortunately, things fizzled out for the two love birds the following year. As it began on social media, so it ended on the familiar playing ground. In 2021 both parties involved eradicated any images of the two together. Lucii posted her thoughts about the heartbreak she’s experienced in the last few years. 

Recently, she posted on Instagram, “to my beautiful fans.” She mulled over her intertwining experience with love and music, “I’ve had lots of broken promises these past 2 years.” Explaining the cause and effect preventing her from releasing new music. She expressed how this deteriorated her mental health, “I have become so depressed I can barely brush my teeth in the morning.” 

She discusses her “choice to change genres in 2020 because I wasn’t happy making the music I was.” The following year in 2021 she wrote an album, but the deal didn’t work out. Voicing her frustrations, “I haven’t felt like an artist in a long time due to not having music out.” Yet in the meantime still playing live.

Undoubtedly, her optimism shines, “This new era will feature my songwriting. Voice and production. A euphoric twist on heartbreak and love.” The devastation of a breakup with unforeseen life events can lead anyone to feel lackluster. Lucii is fighting to heal from her ordeals with creativity through her musical expression. 

Moreover, fans are curious about her new music, “to begin the new era we will be starting with a personal favorite, ‘sleeping pills’.” Luci unveils the song’s origin, “I was so heartbroken I couldn’t sleep and had to take Nyquil every night.” Lastly, expressing the healing power of writing and gratitude for her fans. Lucii is on tour performing, ‘Sleeping Pills,” just in time for her new era to commence.
