YOTTO RELEASES NEW CONTEMPLATIVELY AMBIENT PIECE “MAGGIO” – [LISTEN]
Yotto is back again, this time around with a new emotionally-driven downtempo/ambient-electronica track. Titled “Maggio“, the latest tune to come from the highly-regarded DJ/producer directly follows his collaborative single “Buggy” released alongside Lane 8 at the end of this August. Out now on Above & Beyond’s revered Anjunadeep imprint, “Maggio” is available to listen to across all streaming platforms.
Sometimes, at night, I don't make music for nightclubs but instead make music for lonely fireplaces that are cold.
I think it's profoundly sad and fireplaces should always be kept reasonably warm. Maggio is a song for my fireplace that I use too rarely. https://t.co/xy9fmDaHd8 pic.twitter.com/fdkWMZmKDG— YOTTO (@yottomusic) September 21, 2020
Clocking in at just a little over three minutes, the latest to come from Yotto simply leaves the listener wanting more of this style from the DJ/producer. Pivoting stylistically from previous releases, he instead opts for a more subdued, contemplative tone. Characterized by various instrumentation, key standouts include the soft, mellow playing of the piano in addition to cinematically lush soundscapes.
