MAU5TRAP AND INSOMNIAC JOIN FORCES FOR SECOND COMPILATION ALBUM

The forces and creative minds of Insomniac and mau5trap have teamed up again for a collaborative house compilation featuring a stacked tracklist of artists such as Kyle Watson, NOISES, Tommy Trash, and many more. According to Kyle Watson, he was super siked over the outcome of the production. “Really happy with how this track came out, and I’m pumped for it to be my first feature on Insomniac,” commented Waston. “I’ve always enjoyed the label, so it’s great to finally be a part of it.” Considering mau5trap and Insomniac rarely link up for full compilation releases, his excitement is well warranted and shared by other producers as well as fans.

The album really leans into its mau5trap roots, championing a darker techno type of house, best exemplified with “4U,” by Tommy Trash, “Times Up,” by Plastic Robots and Steve Darko, and “Space Arp,” by Speaker Honey. There are no soaring synths or poignant lyricism, rather every song played like the ambient soundtrack of a trip to Mars, the accompaniment to a galactic excursion into techno house.

Heralding from sunny South Florida, I am a proud Florida Woman. In my free time, I surf the swamp, wrangle gators, open fan mail, and tend to my pets. In the wild, I'm most often spotted at immersive art spaces, step tappin' in a shadowed corner of the club, hater blockerz on, totally incognito as your resident EDM spice girl. Although I generally tout my spicy side, if there's one thing I'd love to impress upon the world, it would be this: it's not a waste to give love to those who do not deserve it – it's a gift. The world would be a better place if we gave, in kindness and in mercy, to those who need it most with no expectation in return.

What's your reaction?
