Ubbi Dubbi issues statement regarding refunds after severe weather cancellation

Ubbi Dubbi refund statement sparks conversations online as attendees reflect on another storm-impacted year.

Arguably, one of the worst things that can happen during festival season is an event being cancelled due to severe weather. Nearly a month after thunderstorms and lightning forced Ubbi Dubbi to cancel its second day in April, organizers officially shared refund and reimbursement details.

Every festival approaches weather-related cancellations differently, which is part of why reactions online have been closely watched following the announcement. Under the festival’s latest statement, responses online appeared partly receptive to the festival’s approach and partly critical, with ongoing complaints centred on the event’s timing.

Elsewhere in the comments, fans reflected on how weather disruptions have become a recurring part of the conversation surrounding Ubbi Dubbi over the years. Some pointed toward previous editions of the festival impacted by storms, while others questioned whether the event’s spring dates continue to work against it.

The update also included information for attendees connected to the previously cancelled Wicked Oaks festival. Organizers confirmed that unused rollover portions tied to those tickets will once again transfer into Freaky Deaky 2026, with eligible attendees receiving Saturday access to the event. The added rollover option continues Disco Presents’ effort to offer multiple paths forward for affected fans rather than limiting the response strictly to refunds alone.

One of the more unexpected additions to the statement was an optional charitable initiative tied to Americares, an organization known for disaster relief and emergency health support. Fans who choose to donate some or all of their eligible refund value will receive two tickets to a future show at SILO Dallas.

SILO Dallas has increasingly become part of the touring circuit for major electronic artists passing through Texas. By offering refund options, rollover access to Freaky Deaky, and the opportunity to turn part of that refund into support for disaster relief efforts, organizers are attempting to meet fans in several places at once.

My name is Alejandra Benitez and I was born and raised in the DMV. Having close proximity to Washington D.C. means I am accustomed to a fast paced environment as things are constantly changing. For me, the EDM scene has provided so much comfort and space to really find myself even amongst chaos. My first ever show was Zeds Dead and it truly changed my outlook on community and further affirmed my love for music. I am a basshead at heart but enjoy exploring new genres and artists. Being a writer for Exron has given me an amazing opportunity to learn more about the electronic music industry and I love being able to express myself creatively. Some of my favorite artists include Levity, Rezz, Tape B, Disco Lines, and Sub Focus.
