GRiZtronics attendees hit with massive entry lines at The Gorge

Fans survived 15-hour entry lines, dead phones, and gas anxiety before reaching bass paradise at The Gorge.

What should have been a bass-heavy weekend at GRiZTRONICS has instead turned into a survival story involving traffic, empty gas tanks, and thousands of angry ravers questioning every life decision that led them to a 15-hour entry line. Fans arriving at The Gorge Amphitheatre over Memorial Day weekend faced a race against time in the longest campground delays the venue has seen, like ever.

Attendees began lining up early on May 23rd, only to find themselves stuck in traffic stretching for miles. Some campers say they’ve waited between 12 and 15 hours before even reaching security checkpoints. By the time many finally entered the grounds, the first night of music had already been partially missed. Nothing says “festival immersion” quite like hearing the wubs from inside your parked car for half a day.

The delays appear to have stemmed from several overlapping issues, including unusually heavy early arrivals, traffic complications surrounding the Vantage Bridge construction on Interstate 90, and logistical bottlenecks at campground entrances. Fans also claimed there were little to no communication during the wait, limited restroom access, and dwindling fuel supplies. At one point, attendees joked online that the camping line itself had become an unofficial pre-party endurance challenge.

Following mounting backlash across social media, organizers and Live Nation quickly responded. Additional security lanes were reportedly added overnight, while both GRiZ and Subtronics issued public apologies, aware of the disastrous arrival experience. Despite the frustration, many fans praised the artists for directly engaging with attendees rather than disappearing into the backstage void.

In a move that surprised many, organizers confirmed that all campground purchasers will automatically receive full refunds for their camping passes. Refunds are expected to process within five to seven business days through the original payment methods. For many attendees, the news has landed like emotional whiplash: terrible entry experience, but able to camp the rest for free.

The festival itself has continued throughout the weekend, with adjusted entry schedules attempting to ease congestion for remaining arrivals. While the music and production have still delivered the expected GRiZTRONICS madness once fans made it inside, the entry situation already became a festival mishap of this year.
