Exron Exclusive Guest Mix #066: Dr. Apollo

Fresh off the announcement of his new single “Lock In,” DR. APOLLO delivers an explosive guest mix that captures the full force of his evolving sound.

Following his appearance on Joytime Collective’s ‘Jumpstart Vol. 1’, Dr. Apollo is set to return with a new single, “Lock In,” this Friday, April 24th. In the spirit of the upcoming launch, Dr. Apollo has also created an exclusive guest mix for Exron that reflects where his sound is heading.

The new track, “Lock In,” leans into heavy bass, fast drums, and sharp, mechanical sound design. It demonstrates an aggressive direction, with a clear focus on energy and impact rather than subtlety. The track sets the tone for his highly anticipated ‘RAGE’ EP, expected this summer. “Lock In” is available for preview ahead of Friday’s release.

The same bold approach carries into his exclusive guest mix for Exron. The mix not only stands out for its quick transitions and sustained momentum, but for the fact that every track is a Dr. Apollo original or remix.

Dr. Apollo first broke through as a winner of Insomniac’s Discovery Project, which helped establish his early presence in the electronic scene. He later released his debut album ‘The Simulation’ on RAM Records, marking a notable milestone as one of the label’s few full-length LPs from a U.S.-based artist.

With a background in classical music, Dr. Apollo’s production approach blends technical structure with experimental ideas. He has cited influences and mentorship from figures like A.R. Rahman, Quincy Jones, and Drumma Boy, shaping a style that combines precise engineering with heavier electronic elements.
