Riddim pioneer INFEKT surprises fans with hard-hitting EP

Infekt has returned with his brand new EP ‘Organic Dubstep’ on his label Port Zero, featuring collabs with Barely Alive and Modal Nodes.

Infekt is back with his new 8-song EP ‘Organic Dubstep’ dropping through his own Port Zero label. The project keeps his signature riddim while adding a new flair. This is the second release on his label, which he launched just last year.

The sound here blends that classic dubstep feel with heavier, more textured bass. It’s made to hit both underground sets and massive festival stages while appealing to a global audience. With this release, Infekt is tapping into his roots while taking a new route.

Collaborations featuring Barely Alive and Modal Nodes add some extra energy to the project. Each track brings a slightly different vibe, but it all still fits into Infekt’s overall sound. Nothing feels out of place, just expanded.

There’s also a strong identity behind the EP, tying into his whole “veggie man” persona and fanbase. Based on his vegan lifestyle, it gives the project a bit more personality beyond just the music. You can feel that connection throughout the release.

To support the drop, Infekt is taking things on the road with his Port Zero Tour. The tour kicked off this past weekend in Albuquerque and Houston, with upcoming dates in San Francisco and Minneapolis throughout April and returning in August at îLESONIQ Festival in Montreal.

‘Organic Dubstep’ keeps things simple in the best way. It’s raw, fun, and built for live crowds while still keeping that underground edge. If you’ve been following Infekt, this one definitely delivers.

Hey everyone, I'm Neil! I first joined the dance community back in 2019 when my friend dragged me to Moonrise, my first-ever music festival, and I became hooked ever since. I like to dabble in most genres with my favorites being tech house and melodic techno. When it comes to studio output, Camelphat is part of my daily listening rotation and for a live performance, I'll never miss a Solomun set. You can likely catch me on the dance floor somewhere in Brooklyn!
