Berlin debuts new nightclub AMT in former casino
AMT is the newest club on the block, taking over the late night-gaming spot Spätkauf.
Berlin’s nightlife landscape is set for a shake-up next month as a brand new club, AMT, prepares to open under the S-Bahn arches of Alexanderplatz. The 1,000-capacity venue will take over the site of a former casino at Dircksenstraße 114, replacing both the gaming space and a late-night Spätkauf that previously occupied the unit opposite the historic Berolinahaus.
Slated to launch in early March 2026, AMT will roll out with a series of smaller, more intimate parties before moving into full-scale operations. The club features two dancefloors, a “chill-out” area, and a dedicated darkroom, positioning itself as a multi-format space in the heart of Mitte, an area often considered quieter on the clubbing front compared to Friedrichshain or Kreuzberg.

Both dancefloors will be powered by custom-built Kirsch Audio systems, specifically designed for the space by acoustician Willsingh Wilson of Wax Acoustics. The renovation has reportedly taken place over several months, tailoring the venue’s sound and layout to the unique acoustics of the railway arches.
The project is led by Berlin restaurateur and mixologist Robert Havemann, known for founding the Neukölln cocktail bar Velvet and the indoor surfing venue Wellenwerk. His broader portfolio also includes additional restaurant and bar projects across the city.
Programming will center on electronic music, with DJs and collectives hosting weekend events, alongside dedicated queer and sex-positive nights. While specific lineups for the opening weekend have yet to be announced, advance tickets are expected to be available via major Berlin nightlife platforms and Resident Advisor.
As Berlin continues to navigate the recent closure of long-standing institutions like Watergate and SchwuZ, AMT’s arrival signals fresh energy for the capital’s club scene, right at its busiest transit hub.
