The Top Underground Miami Music Week Parties To Attend

Tell a friend to tell a friend: Miami Music Week is baaaccckkk!

Miami Music Week – possibly the most highly publicized event in the electronic dance music industry – has descended upon us. The week of madness comes every year, once a year, in the final days of March and it’s never not a smash. The largest event of the entire week is undeniably Ultra, which draws six figures worth of attendees (e.g. more than 165,000 people attended Ultra in 2022).

However, if Ultra isn’t your game and you would prefer a smaller more intimate event then never fear – there’s an overabundance of attractions, artists, and pop-ups, anything and everything to suit your fancy and tickle your funny bone. Yet God does have his/her favorites, so let the roster be known…

Afterlife Miami Music Week 2023 – Factory Town

If you’ve never witnessed an Afterlife set, this is an absolute must-see. Afterlife produces oddly ethereal and chilling sets, replete with NFTs as visuals. Afterlife is doing something extremely interesting in the space of EDM and they’re a group to watch in general.

RÜFÜS DU SOL presents Rose Avenue Records Showcase – Club Space

Club Space is a staple for Miami nightlife (and potentially worth sending it for every day of MMW), yet if the clique can only handle one sunrise terrace set for MMW, then this is your go-to. Every house and techno artist in the industry has played at this legendary club, and to experience Space is to experience the magic of becoming lost.

Elrow – Factory Town

Factory Town is run by Link Miami Rebels, the same creative production team that envisioned Club Space. Their work in conjunction with the imagination and whimsy of Elrow is nothing short of spectacular and certainly an event you won’t want to miss.

Heldeep Pool Party 2023 – Nautilus Hotel

If pool parties are more of your vibe, this one might be the best of the best, although MMW admittedly slays pool parties. Oliver Heldens, who will also headline at Ultra this year, is scheduled to lead this event.

Black Coffee & Friends – Factory Town

Black Coffee almost always makes an appearance in Miami for both Art Basel and MMW, usually throwing down at some secretive warehouse jamboree. His sets pop off, without fail, each and every year for these incredible annual events.

Zamna Miami – Islands Gardens

Zamna will occupy Islands Gardens for the full weekend of MMW and the lineup is double-take worthy. Zamna is a production company based in Tulum, although the production travels to select locations around the world. The event brings the jungle of Tulum to novel necks of the woods…

Matroda & Friends – Floyd

Adjacent to Club Space is a smaller disco dungeon, a low-key spot named Floyd. There’s comfy furniture, disco balls, and fuzzy rugs to make any raver feel at home. Matroda at Floyd is guaranteed to be intimate, sultry, thoughtful, edgy, and memorable.

Toolroom Miami – National Hotel

If you’re event somewhat familiar with EDM, you’ve probably listened to a Toolroom mixtape/playlist at some point in your life. Toolroom cultivates incredible, curated lists of music and is also a staple in the EDM world. Their event at MMW will certainly be one for the books.

Heralding from sunny South Florida, I am a proud Florida Woman. In my free time, I surf the swamp, wrangle gators, open fan mail, and tend to my pets. In the wild, I'm most often spotted at immersive art spaces, step tappin' in a shadowed corner of the club, hater blockerz on, totally incognito as your resident EDM spice girl. Although I generally tout my spicy side, if there's one thing I'd love to impress upon the world, it would be this: it's not a waste to give love to those who do not deserve it – it's a gift. The world would be a better place if we gave, in kindness and in mercy, to those who need it most with no expectation in return.
