Whyte Fang Announces She is Working on a New Album for 2023

Following a hat trick of knockout singles, Whyte Fang has revealed plans of dropping an album next year.

There’s very little we know about Whyte Fang. It’s a woman — that’s crystal clear from the artist’s social media bios that say “GIRL,” though that might also be a reference to her latest song, “Girl.” Aside from a neglected SoundCloud page to her name, she has released only three solo singles on all streaming platforms. And that’s about all we have.

Actually, there’s one more thing — it’s Alison Wonderland. That’s right, Whyte Fang is in fact Alison Wonderland. The same Whyte Fang with barely any followers on Instagram and Twitter has been living a double life as one of the biggest EDM artists in the world. Considering the first song by this practically unknown artist dates back to 2011, it’s safe to say that Alison Wonderland is indeed Whyte Fang’s alias. The big news now is that she will be committing to her original form once again, this time to release a full-length album.

On December 1, Whyte Fang announced on social media that she is currently putting together an album for next year. It will be her first studio package under the revived pseudonym, though this isn’t exactly a surprise to those who have been paying attention. Her three official tracks all dropped recently with a year-long bracket, from November 4, 2021 to November 4, 2022, and they each share similar artwork, indicating that a cohesive unit will soon follow.

Sure enough, an album awaits on the other side. No further details on this have been revealed yet, so it is tough to say whether or not the songs we already have will make it on the record. One thing, however, is for sure — each offering has been nothing short of whimsical. The latest single came a month back and was primitive, psychedelic and polished. Given that the previous two releases were just as sharp, it would’ve been a crime to not give fans a complete album.

The fact still remains that we have limited knowledge and information on Whyte Fang. We know a whole lot about Alison Wonderland but barely anything about the next phase of her career under this new/old identity. The music’s top tier and the persona’s mysterious; fans now need to see more of her to believe just how incredible an act this is.

Whyte Fang recently played her first headlining gig and we can only hope for more. The few clips we have of her live sets are absolutely wild, so let’s keep our fingers crossed. Once the album drops, we can put forth our next set of demands. In the words of Whyte Fang, 2023 will be “The year of whyte fang.”
