The Knocks Transform Manila Killa’s “Sleepless” Into Dreamy Soundscape

Manila Killa and The Knocks have collaborated to bring a unique take to Manilla Killa’s latest hit “Sleepless.”

On October 14th, 2022, Manila Killa gave fans a treat with his release of the newest remix from his debut album, “Sleepless” by the talented New York duo The Knocks. The Knocks are an American electronic music duo consisting of Ben “B-Roc” Ruttner and James “JPatt” Patterson. You can hear this duo in many well-known tracks such as “Bodies” ft. MUNA, their collaborations with Sofi Tukker’s “Best Friend”, Purple Disco Machine’s “Fireworks,” and ODESZA’s “Love Letter.

When asked why Manila Killa picked this duo to remix his track “Sleepless”, his response was spot on. He stated, “Selecting The Knocks to remix “Sleepless” was one of the easiest decisions during the album process. I’ve always been a huge fan of theirs and how effortlessly they express their styles through their original tunes. They’ve absolutely done the track justice and somehow managed to accentuate Panama’s stellar vocals even further.” – Manila Killa

This remix is nothing far from amazing. The Knocks were able to transform Manila Killa’s euphoric and melodic track into an absolute funky disco tune perfect for vibing out to. The duo was able to implement their own creative twist showing that expanding their creative capability as artists. The Knocks were able to formulate an upbeat track to a more euphoric track creating a groovier dynamic than the original. But like the original, The Knocks allowed Panama’s vocals to shine, nestled perfectly instrumentally for any occasion.
