This post does not indicate any support for the alleged actions of Lorin

Spoke with a certain manager within the industry that took me aside to discuss the Bassnectar project. They went on to share with me some things happening behind the scenes.

Apparently

He hired a new manager, maybe with processes like active sourcing. New manager linked with a private promotion company. A Long statement is incoming if he gets found not guilty. There will be a lengthy PR campaign. There will be privately run events.

Coupled with the “Sitting back until it’s time for action” lyrics, it all makes sense.

Note** This is all hearsay and should not be taken as fact. As with anything heard through the grapevine, it can all be made up. I do trust the source tho.

Do what you will with this information. I didn’t know who to share with but I figured people here would have liked to know.”

Bassnectar, legally known as Lorin Ashton, is currently under investigation for having sexual relations with minors and soliciting them to take nude photographs of themselves. Multiple women have opened lawsuits against the former artist, and more have come forward with their stories since the initial claim was made.

As of right now, the trial is in its discovery phase, with a trial pending for 2023.

According to documents posted on bassnectarcourtcase.com, a site created to follow this case, the discovery phase began on April 18.

Amended pleadings, which allow those involved to update their claims, are due on October 31, 2022. Discovery, which is the process of obtaining information like documents and depositions, is due by January 18, 2023.

If the case makes it to trial, it will likely start on September 1, 2023, due to how complex the trial process can be.

Time will tell if the accused sex offender will try and attempt a comeback despite his tarnished reputation.
