Getter Goes on Twitter Rant About Being “Fed Up” with EDM Industry

Getter gets real with his followers about the entertainment industry and it’s lows.

On August 14, Tanner Petulla aka Getter took to his twitter account to get real with his followers about the lows of the entertainment industry. If you’ve followed Getter since the beginning then you’re aware of his long journey. Getter has experienced highs and lows and ultimately wants the artists of today and tomorrow to “know their worth”.

Petulla is in every sense of the term, an eclectic artist. In short, he’s a DJ, producer, actor, rapper, and collective owner, but more importantly, he’s a person. Having worked within different areas of entertainment he has earned his position to tell people what to watch out for. 

In several tweets, Petulla mentions how social media and people within the industry make it hard for artists to prosper. Evidently, Getter is tired of the way people use social media and how it doesn’t promote true art. Additionally, without getting into detail, he mentions how people always want something from you, but don’t necessarily value you as an artist. He wrote “just sick of wack motherfuckers taking advantage of the REAL artists who actually make our own shit.” This pertains to artists being taken advantage of and being a pawn rather than a player in their own career.

Subsequently, other artists replied to Getter to not just praise his tweets but relate to him on a personal level. In a tweet his wrote “just being real and laying shit out how it rly is.” Since the beginning, Getter has always been transparent with his fans. These tweets are a form of encouragement to his followers to stick up for themselves and be more aware. 

Last but not least, fans can hopefully take in some of Getter’s advice. With times changing so abruptly all the time, one needs to adapt and be aware of their surroundings. Now more than ever, it’s important to take risks, chase your goals and without a doubt, create the art you care about.
