EVAN GIIA and Memba Share Adorable Moment on Stage at Capitol Hill Block Party

EVAN GIIA and her husband, one-half of the DJ group Memba, are the literal cutest as they live their music dreams.

Brooklyn-based Evan Giarrusso, better known by her DJ name Evan Giia, is mainly acclaimed for her stylized vocals and widely popular electronic hits. Some of her most famous works include collaborations with Dillon Francis, Illenium, Snakehips, Gorgon City, and her husband Ishaan Chaudhary, one of two in the DJ duo Memba.

In addition to making music, Evan and Ishaan regularly collaborate and tour together, a dream coming to fruition for the couple. The love birds were even married in the summer of 2021 – the ceremony was intimate and featured traditional Indian elements, representing Ishaan’s culture and roots.

Evan performed before thousands of people at Seattle’s Capitol Hill Block Party, which featured the headliners Charli XCX, Jai Wolf, and Diplo. While onstage, Evan began to hype up the crowd, singing into the mic and jumping, hopping, skipping.

At some point during the festival, Evan waved to the wings and beckoned her husband to come onstage. With little to no hesitation, her husband took to the dance floor, sporting a tie-die t-shirt, fanny pack, and red solo cup – clearly, he was at home. The newlyweds beamed while vibing with the crowd, looking out into a brimming sea of party people, all illuminated by golden hour.

The short clip posted on Instagram garnered more than a thousand likes and even more views. Some of the attention came from industry-heavy hitters such as Alison Wonderland, while fans scribed adorable encouragements and adorations in the comments section such as, “Zoom in on those faces in the crowd. I’ve never seen an artist make people smile the way you do. They just can’t help it!!!”

Evan’s next stop will be Breakaway Music Festival in Bonner Springs, KS and then the following weekend in Columbus, OH. Her and her husband plan on creating more music and touring for the rest of this year, and for the rest of their days.
