Slander Shocks Fans By Dropping Techno and Drum & Bass at Recent Shows

DJs and producers Slander continue to set the tone for The Thrive Tour by experimenting with techno beyond their heaven trap sound.

Slander’s individual vision of the “heaven trap” genre inspires a sensational euphoric drop that is brought to light by the build-up of a blissful bass storm. Thriving and gifted artists like Slander are not fearful to test the limits of their comfort zone.

The eerie glimmer of the dark beat clashing against the universal melody of “boots & cats” blasted through the crowd, off into the parallel dark universe of Drum & Bass. The beat deepened into a darker tone while simultaneously pumping the heart with more force to flow through the hips within every dance move.

It is at this moment that numerous waving fans rose above the crowd, as seen in the Twitter video above. Was this a universal signal for all techno heads in the crowd to proclaim their other identity?

There was a one hundred eighty-degree turn around from aggressively headbanging along the rails to shuffling in the middle of the dance floor. This created multifarious kinds of chants and screams that were heard in the crowd.

Beaming red lasers stroke through the crowd as the beat dropped to the floor and got shot back up into the natural flow of each hip rolling back, side-to-side. As the fire flames are catapulted into the air, the beat only got denser and darker.

Slander tests the bound of their creative limits with pure curiosity and fun. The DJs and producers have played techno throughout their tour, including at festival pit stops such as Bass Camp Fest in Tahoe City.

Slander will be continuing The Thrive Tour on August 12th at the Ever After Festival. Other festival pit stops include Breakaway Music Festival, Electric Zoo Festival, ILLfest, and North Coast Music Festival. The tour will also be continuing the beat in cities such as Phoenix, Asheville, Atlanta, Birmingham, Hampton, Buffalo, Montreal, etc.

Yoooo, the homies call me Marz. I am a multidimensional Piscean Latina fairy from Miami-Dade County (no, not Florida). Electronic music has allowed me to appreciate the profound beauty that can be found in finding peace within the chaos. Artists such as Rezz, Skrillex, John Summit, Michael Bibi, and Amtrac blend the two seamlessly, creating a harmonious balance that resonates with me whenever I am on the dancefloor. When I am writing about electronic music, I feel this same balance of peace and chaos moving through me - starting in my hips, filling my heart, and radiating out from my soul. The power of music has brought me to this exact moment, and I only desire that you feel the warmth of the sun through my words.
