Carnage Announces End of Project After 14 Years

Carnage has revealed the end of project and his first alias after over a decade of producing and playing across the world.

The Guatemalan-American DJ and record producer Carnage broke the news of the end of the project on his Instagram on Thursday with a heartfelt message to fans.

He wrote: “Thank you for letting me be apart of your life for 14 years. Thank you for allowing me to change the culture, the music, and the scene.

“Thank you for allowing me to see the world and perform in places I could have never imagined. Thank you for 1,200+ shows.

Carnage, formally known as Diamanté Anthony Blackmon, continued: “Thank you for over 2 billion streams. Thank you to the promoters, venues, production teams, box office staff, venue staff, artist relations, bar staff, janitorial staff, etc for the countless hours you have all put into Carnage.

“Thank you to the record labels, and marketing teams for helping me share any music with the world. Thank you for allowing me to be me.

“Thank you to my fellow artists, many of whom have become some of my closet friends. Thank you for the memories. Most importantly, thank you to my fans. -Carnage 2008- 2022,” he closed.

The talented producer captioned his post with a simple red heart as fans raced to the comments to share their support over the decision.

“GOODBYE CARNAGE, HELLO GORDO,” one wrote, while a second agreed: “Yessirr! On to the next chapter my brother.”

“Please tell us this is a happy joke,” another hoped, while a fourth wished: “This better not be a retirement post.”

“I’ve followed you since Bang!, Katie, La Mara….. I appreciate what you’ve done for music and the amazing memories I’ve made with you on stage, thank you thank you thank you! The end of an era that I’m not ready for,” another admitted.

DJ Carnage began his music career at the age of 16 from his hometown of Frederick, Maryland. He broke onto the scene in 2012 when he uploaded his first song, “Teke Teke”, onto YouTube. By 2014 Carnage had hit the DJ Mag Top 100 with his EDM and Trap bangers.

In October of 2015, he dropped his debut album, Papi Gordo, which ranked on the Billboard top 200. The album included timeless hits like “Touch”, “Bricks”, and “November Skies”.

By 2018, the producer had released his second album, Battered, Bruised, & Bloody. His single in collaboration with Lil Pump, I Shyne, made it to number 49 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop.

In February of 2021, Carnage announced the debut of his new house alias, GORDO. Since then he released his single “KTN” and has toured the world with the fresh sound.
