CRAY OPENS UP ABOUT BEING BULLIED FOR LEARNING DISABILITIES – [READ]
Electronic music and gamer icon Cray creates safe space to share her experience with learning disabilities.
Most know and love Cray for her music talent, quirky style, and relationship with Kayzo. Though what some may not know, is that Cray has struggled with a history of learning disabilities from a young age.
Yesterday Cray went live on Twitch to open up about her journey with learning disabilities and to educate further on the topic. The open invitation for anyone to join created a safe space for people to ask questions or share their own stories.
Last week in a series of tweets she shared that she was diagnosed as a child with auditory processing disorder, ADHD and ASD (autism spectrum disorder).
Child has really been a rough ass journey. As a 27 year old still heavily dependent on medication , its toll but thru quarantine I've had time to really accept myself and change my dosages. I want to help other ppl who feel this way to know they r not alone & to not be ashamed

These disabilities led her to be medicated at a young age and still heavily dependent on medication well into her 20s. Since quarantine has started Cray admits she has started to accept her true self and managing her dosage differently.
From wearing a hearing device, to using special pencils and being called names in school, Cray was bullied for being different. Though she claims her experiences made her stronger and now wants to use her platform to be a voice for others.
I had to wear a hearing device in highschool, had to be taken out during most classes to learn separately, had to take classes & use special pencils so I could write. I was bullied for being "weird and stupid "&it made me ashamed but now I AM strong &want 2 be a voice for others

The queen even shows us that stickers aren’t just for kids. In a tweet she explains how she decorates her pill bottles with themed stickers so that she doesn’t hate looking at her medication or feel the need to hide them.
Cray sharing her tips and personal story of her own may not seem impactful to many, but to some it is everything to know you aren’t going through it alone. Living with disabilities shouldn’t be excluding and we can thank Cray for making others feel heard.
I also wanna share things I do that help me and see if maybe they help anyone else. Recently I got new containers for my medications and have them decorated with themed stickers. So I don't hate looking at pill bottles anymore and hide them. This is my animal crossing one 🥺 pic.twitter.com/Jvt8rf2bnt
