APASHE’S “DISTANCE” RECEIVES 5 INSANE REMIXES – [LISTEN]

Receiving five massive remixes is Apashe’s critically-acclaimed single “Distance,” featured on his sophomore album Renaissance. Touched by some of the finest creators of electronic dance music, including KOAN Sound, Volac, and Macky Gee, the 5-track Distance remix EP is out on Kannibalen Records

Russian production duo Volac sets the tone by offering the first rework from the Distance EP. Speeding things up, this remix is a house heater loaded with high-octane energy. Up next, KOAN Sound’s version of the track features a melodic bass take, utilizing awe-inspiring production elements.

Netherlands-based producer Buunshin drives the track in a fresh, drum and bass direction. The artist fosters an infectious rhythm that will keep listeners on their feet from start to finish. Delivering another exciting drum and bass offering is legendary U.K. producer Macky Gee. His version of “Distance” evokes a sense of urgency, representing his ability to carefully craft tension within his sound.

Finally, Pushing Daizies adds to the remix package with their unique take on “Distance.” The anonymous U.S.-based duo provides elongated soundscapes coupled with a catchy beat. This slowed down, melodic version is the perfect way to round out this latest offering from Apashe.

In addition to releasing this 5-track remix EP, Apashe recently filmed an unforgettable live stream for the Toboggan Festival. The performance took place in the snowy forest of Jacques-Cartier National Park. After having his music appear on Apple TV, EA Sports, and numerous feature film spots, the Montreal-based artist is looking forward to a successful and creative 2021.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
