WHETHAN DROPS PSYCHADELIC ALTERNATIVE ALBUM ‘FANTASY’ – [LISTEN]

21-year-old Chicago native, Whethan just dropped his highly anticipated album of 2020 called Fantasy. Filled with a delightfully electric flow, it’s the little boost of happiness we all could use in our lives right about now. When listening to Fantasy, it’s almost as if you can see the colors of the beats exploding in your mind.

Whethan Drops Infectious Single "All In My Head"

“Fantasy is getting on a spaceship and teleporting anywhere your dreams can imagine,” Whethan shared. “…There was an underlying theme of alternative meets psychedelic dance music and I wanted to be able to blast every song at my shows or have it feel like you’re at a show when listening at home or in the car. – Whethan

This beautiful 15-track album features collaborations from some of Whethan’s most inspirational artists.

“I got to work with some of my favorite artists like RL Grime, Grouplove, The Wombats, bülow, and many more. I grew a lot while working on the album over the span of the last 3 years and you can hear it through the different styles and feelings on each track.” – Whethan

The genre-bending album was heralded last month with the acclaimed single, ‘Freefall (feat. Oliver Tree)’. A remarkable collaboration between the two electronic artists that set the bar high for this album release.

From Whethan’s 2019 album, Life of a Wallflower we can note his beautiful progression in style while applauding the risks taken to morph two unlikely genres into the masterpiece that is Fantasy.

Ride the wave, and blast Fantasy below.

An Atlanta gal chasing her love for electronic dance music. I’ve been with Exron since 2018 and have the privilege of contributing to the culture alongside other badass women whom I now call my friends. My introduction to the scene was first influenced by trap music, but my discography has since expanded to touch a bit of everything. Some of my favorite artists are Zeds Dead, Cloonee, Nghtmre, Flume, Infekt, Sosa, Bleu Clair, Subtronics, but the list goes on forever.
