Elrow: MMW’s Standout Is Still Set to Perform

Post Ultra’s devastating postponement, those that booked flights and hotels search for the music festival’s perfect replacement. At first glance this debacle may appear harrowing, yet in reality finding another venue for March madness’ festivities is easy – or better yet, it provides opportunity to be choosy. With Miami Music Week still on, those planning to party in sunny South Florida have a whole host of outlets. Among those outlets, is Elrow.

For those unfamiliar with Elrow, it’s more of an experience than a concert. Elrow is a traveling show, originating from Ibiza, Spain, that brings psychedelic-inspired art environments overseas to major venues all across the world. Upon stepping into Elrow’s psychedelic arena, guests are bombarded with costumed characters, installments, and interactive art.

This MMW line up features masked maestro Claptone, Francisco Allendes, Meduza, a plethora of unannounced special guests, and many more. Elrow was most recently in Miami for Art Basel 2019, where their team of DJs performed at Island Gardens, an open, out doors venue located on a little island in the middle of the Bay. For this MMW performance, the venue booked is a warehouse. Elrow is most famous for its transformation of space, for its transcendence of art, conceptualism, and music – and what better a canvas to paint upon than the bare bones of a warehouse? Elrow’s transformation, simulation, and spectacle awaits.

Heralding from sunny South Florida, I am a proud Florida Woman. In my free time, I surf the swamp, wrangle gators, open fan mail, and tend to my pets. In the wild, I'm most often spotted at immersive art spaces, step tappin' in a shadowed corner of the club, hater blockerz on, totally incognito as your resident EDM spice girl. Although I generally tout my spicy side, if there's one thing I'd love to impress upon the world, it would be this: it's not a waste to give love to those who do not deserve it – it's a gift. The world would be a better place if we gave, in kindness and in mercy, to those who need it most with no expectation in return.

What's your reaction?
