Boombox Cartel Kicks Off The Cell Tour In Portland, Oregon

This past Thursday February 7th, Boombox Cartel brought their trademark trap bangers to a packed out Roseland Theater in the heart of Portland, Oregon. This was the first stop on the spring run of their newly announced Cell Tour. Along on the tour are some crazy talented up and coming producers including Tynan, Graves, Zeke Beats and RickyxSan. The night was opened by a local DJ who was soon followed by the emerging star Tynan (Red) delivering deep and dark bass to get the crowd moving. The Hawaiian native Graves (Blue) then followed, playing out his chill trap songs featuring Hex Cougar, Krane and the Boombox Cartel collab “Hilo” to name a few.

The production was on a whole different level above their past Portland shows which have all been held at a dance club across the river with lower capacity and a smaller visual infrastructure. A massive Cube/Cell was perched in the middle of the stage surrounded by Co2 cannons and a variety of light bars, strobes, and rotating spotlights. Americo Garcia – the touring member of duo Boombox Cartel – kept the energy incredibly high throughout the entire performance, giving the crowd slight moments to breathe with his slow and beautiful tracks before dropping right back into the signature Boombox trap drops the entire crowd knew and loved. Surprisingly he threw in quite a bit of bass house which was well received by the crowd who moved to everything blasting from the speakers. A highlight of the night was definitely when he dropped the single Moon Love and the entire crowd erupted in mosh pits and pandemonium.

This tour will be stretching into early March with eleven total shows spread all across the USA. If you are a fan of trap music this is a tour you, definitely do not want to miss. For all the European trap heads, you won’t be left out with a mini tour bringing the duo to Spain, Hungary, and two cities in Germany.
