The Funk Hunters Drop “Turn Down The Silence”

Straight from Vancouver, The Funk Hunters are back with their newest album “Typecast” that is soon to be released this March. As a teaser for the album, the duo just released a new single from “Typecast” called “Turn Down The Silence” featuring Dirty Radio.

The track is a great representation of The Funk Hunters, who utilize the more stylized form of electronic music that works in combination with a classic funk lightheartedness. 

The group consists of artists Nick Middleton and Duncan Smith, who met in college while both majoring in film. Since meeting they have worked consistently to create their signature sound, and have been increasingly successful. With a stacked list of remixes, varying from Selena Gomez to Gramatik, the two prove that any style of music could use a touch of funk. 

“Turn Down The Silence” is the debut track from the new album, and features lyrics reminiscent of R&B that rock back and forth between tropical funky bells and beats. The chorus building up to the drop makes summer seem not so far off with a confident and buoyant theme throughout.

The Funk Hunter’s “Turn Down The Silence” is out now, and we are sure that it will get your hyped for the rest of the album “Typecast” and a 2018 full of your favorite funk artists.
