Ultra Music Festival Lives To See Another Day At Bayfront Park – [Read]
Phase 1 lineup release? Say less.
After reaching an unprecedented agreement with the Downtown Neighbors Alliance, Ultra Music Festival will pop off at none other than its original home, Bayfront Park, from March 25th through the 27th during the Spring of 2022. Thankfully, the Downtown and rave community, fair households both alike in dignity, were able to come together to codify a shared vision and respectful guidelines that will maintain the peace. Representatives from Ultra claim to be excited to share EDM’s culture, while contemporaneously celebrating Miami’s spice and unique animation.
And although the last past two years have been tumultuous to say the least, Ultra has prevailed, weathering pandemics, lawsuits, the oogaly-boogaly homeless, and countless convictions via the court of public opinion. The resurgence of the music festival may prompt controversy, but the recently released phase 1 line up is indisputably worth a different type of hype.
Every Ultra, the lineup is released in phases. The gradual drip spurs an aura of mystery, making for great marketing, but also produces a sort of drum roll. For this phase of the line up, some fuego names were dropped during the first round of roll call. The partial lineup includes headliners such as Alison Wonderland, Amelie Lens, Boris Brejcha, Carl Cox, Fisher, Illenium, Knife Party, Kygo, Madeon, Martin Garrix, Nina Kraviz, Oliver Tree, Pendulum, Slander featuring Dylan Matthew, Sofi Tukker, Svdden Death, and more.
Interestingly, Carl Cox will be debuting his first-ever Hybrid Live performance, which will span a reported three hours. For those that know Ultra well, Carl Cox usually maintains his own lane, or basically has his own stage, and DJs non-stop throughout the duration of the festival. Seasoned ultranauts and ravers alike must remain patient for more details on Carl Cox’s debut, novel performance.
Ultra has also hinted at a top-notch performer closing the festival on Sunday as well as more dope names to come. Stay tuned for more updates and get ready… because Ultra is back.
