LEE FOSS, JOHN SUMMIT, AND SUNRISES AT CLUB SPACE – [READ]
LEGENDARY CLUB HOUSE IS BACK
For those familiar with the Miami metropolitan area, Club Space is a cultural movement. Not only is it a place of community involvement, inclusivity, and Saturday afternoon yoga sessions, it is the essence of adventure, the promise of an early morning escapade for all those too emphatic and animated to wind down. Prior to corona, Space was almost machine-like, flourishing and grinding fervently, along with all other festivals and music industry events.
With the onslaught of the pandemic, uncertainty loomed. Club Space had to shut down, just like every other night club across the country, for what was collectively thought would be a week, then a month, then a year. Yet, Florida’s relaxed legislation coupled with the roll out of the vaccine has primed this legendary club for what will indubitably become its great resurgence.

On Friday night, the first week of June, Anabel Englund, Lee Foss, and John Summit took turns spinning records, while the disco ball turned round and round, illuminating the now overgrown vines, swinging from the ceiling as a levitating jungle. Anabel Englund went first, taking to the stage in the earliest hours of the morning, then John Summit, the Lee Foss, before both Foss and Summit reunited to the booth for a Saturday brunch B2B.
The never-ending reverberations filled hearts, minds, bodies, and souls as invaders collectively felt an energy they deeply missed. Summit and Foss dished unreleased tracks that had the entire terrace whistling, hands in the air as if on a roller coaster. The music was never-ending, circulative in true house fashion, but the energy was unpredictable and overwhelming. In that moment, life was good, life was thrilling, and life was back.
