MOODY GOOD AND SLANDER’S “HEART BREAK” RECEIVES 10 BASS-LADEN REMIXES – [LISTEN]
Moody Good and SLANDER‘s highly-acclaimed 2019 collaboration, “Heart Break,” underwent the remix treatment ten times, out today. The compilation was released via SLANDER and NGHTMRE‘s “Gud Vibrations” imprint.
A song characterized by Karra’s melancholic vocals and speaker-shattering bass has gotten even heavier. Re-imaginations from both some of dubstep’s veterans and up-and-comers breathe new life into the complex track.
The strength of this compilation comes from its variety. Seasoned bass experts like Trampa, Aweminus and Oolacile make up less than half of the remixes featured. While fresh faces like Akeos, Hukae, Moore Kismet and many more make up the rest.
Artists featured (in alphabetical order) include: Akeos, Aweminus, Hukae, Leotrix, Moore Kismet, Neonix, Oddprophet, Oolacile, Syzy and Trampa.

Recently, a majority of the artists on this tracklist released tracks on similar projects or individual releases. Oolacile recruited Akeos and Leotrix to release tracks on Halcyon‘s inaugural compilation.
While Syzy collaborated with Akeos on “Identity Theft.”
The pandemic halted the life and touring plans for a majority of the scene, but these artists still found a way to hone their skills and make compelling, genre-changing music.
The remixes signal a paradigm shift in dubstep, a scene known for its constant change and sound design innovation.
