Pretty Lights to bring Soundship Spacesystem to St. Augustine Amphitheatre this weekend
Pretty Lights is set to bring Soundship Spacesystem to St. Augustine with a three-day performance, including a sold-out Saturday.
Renowned creative musical group Pretty Lights captivates audiences with a beautiful blend of unique poetic samples, live musicians, and ethereal electronic beats. Pretty Lights has been capturing the hearts of music lovers in the electronic music industry since 2006, and today, acclaimed hits such as “Finally Moving” and “One Day They’ll Know” have millions of streams on Spotify.
During this forthcoming performance, the influential musical group will be curating a once-in-a-lifetime experience with a sonic tapestry and dynamic light show. Moreover, Pretty Lights will be performing on the iconic “swirl bridge” during this exclusive tour stop.
The creative stage design at this particular show intends to give off the illusion of a stage suspended in mid-air, riding through a cosmic vortex. The swirl bridge is composed of an infinity of lights to display a futuristic design. The structure of the stage includes fluid curves with dynamic LED patterns that will sync with the light show, visuals, and music.
The St. Augustine Amphitheater was originally built in 1965. However, after going through major renovations in 2000, the live music venue remains a cultural hub for live music, musical performances, comedy shows, and local community events.
Although Pretty Lights has not released new music since 2017, their sets never miss. Experiencing a Pretty Lights set is like dancing with your eyes closed and envisioning yourself in another dimension. During their sets, attendees tend to wholeheartedly absorb the music and completely let their bodies flow freely from side to side without a care in the world.
Furthermore, Pretty Lights has posted on Instagram that the live performance will feature a live stream titled LucidStream. Moreover, the musical group describes this upcoming performance as an immersive online swirl experience. The Dobly Digital livestream is starting at $9 and Pretty Lights states that all funds will go directly to improving the stream in the future. However, Twitch, a live-streaming platform, will remain an alternative free option.
Tickets for this iconic Pretty Lights performance in St. Augustine are still available via Ticketmaster. Depending on the date, doors will open between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m., and the show will begin at 6 p.m. Prices range from $75 for Friday and Sunday dates.
