Michael Bibi raises enough money through One Life fund to build a new library for cancer patients

English artist and cancer survivor Michael Bibi has shared with fans the impact that his One Life fund has had for cancer patients in Argentina.

It’s been about a year and a half since globetrotting English DJ Michael Bibi was initially diagnosed with a rare form of cancer affecting the brain and spine. Since then, the artist has taken a proactive role in fundraising to help cancer research and treatment through his One Life charity shows. This week, Michael Bibi has shared a little glimpse into the difference that One Life has made for cancer patients so far.

In an Instagram post, Michael wrote that he visited an oncology hospital in Argentina to meet staff and patients and see the facilities. He says that the One Life donations helped the hospital with “building a new library for patients, painting more butterfly murals across the site & working to get new essential equipment to help save more lives.” The post includes several pictures of Michael chatting with patients during their chemotherapy and posing with doctors and nurses.

The butterfly has become the symbol for Michael Bibi’s One Life charity, plastered on posters, visuals, and merch for the brand. One tee shirt from the collection reads, “Life is a journey, embrace the winds, navigate the storms, emerge from the cocoon of challenges, fly free as a butterfly.” His post at the hospital in Argentina highlights some of the gorgeous butterfly art that brings some beauty for the patients undergoing treatment.

This is hardly the first instance of One Life donations making a difference for cancer research and treatment. Michael Bibi has also put on One Life shows in London, Sevilla, Ibiza, and Puglia this year, each time donating proceeds to a local cancer organization. In September, they were able to donate nearly £125,000 to the Royal Marsden charity fund in London.

Michael Bibi and his team have done tremendous things with the One Life fund so far, with Argentina being the latest example. It will be incredible and inspiring to see where the charity goes from here.
