YDG reveals the remix that changed everything following his EDC Orlando debut
YDG is making waves in the bass music scene and EDC Orlando is just the tip of the iceberg for his journey.
This year’s EDC Orlando was packed with unforgettable moments, but one performance that stood out was YDG’s debut at the festival. Fresh off the stage, the rising bass music artist radiated excitement as he reflected on the monumental milestone. Despite some initial nerves, the energy from the crowd quickly melted them away. “As soon as I got on stage, all the nerves went away, and I just had a blast,” he shared, adding that having his family there made the moment even more special.
Known for his remixes, YDG’s music strikes a chord with fans, many of whom first discovered him through his iconic remix of Artemas’ “Like the Way You Kiss Me.” He credits this track, which garnered over a million views on Soundcloud in just a few months, as the turning point in his career. “That remix put me on the map,” he said, noting how it blew up across TikTok and Instagram reels, further solidifying his presence in the scene.
One of YDG’s most recent milestones was his official remix of John Summit and Sub Focus’ track “Go Back“. He described the opportunity as surreal, calling it a defining moment in his journey. “To remix tracks from legends like them was shocking and humbling,” he explained. The overwhelming positive feedback from fans and industry peers alike affirmed his growing influence in electronic music.
Currently embarking on his first headline tour, YDG is navigating the thrill of sold-out shows and the promise of even bigger things to come. While only midway through the tour, he has already seen incredible success and teased an upcoming Phase 2 that promises to hit more cities and expand his reach even further.
Looking ahead, YDG is eyeing collaborations with artists like John Summit, Subtronics, and Tape B, while also teasing a project with Levity that’s already in the works. For those aspiring to follow in his footsteps, he emphasized the importance of originality. “Find your own sound and don’t try to copy what’s trending. Carve out your own lane and follow what feels right,” he advised.
Although he remained tight-lipped about upcoming projects, YDG assured fans that big announcements are on the horizon. “A lot of my dreams have come true, and I can’t wait to share them,” he said with a smile. With his relentless passion and ever-growing fanbase, YDG’s future is undoubtedly bright, and his journey is one to watch.
