EDC Orlando faces fan backlash after attendees complain of ‘overcrowding’
Attendee reveals that EDC Orlando may have oversold tickets to its recent event.
EDC Orlando has faced backlash after attendees claimed overcrowding. Many audience members at the most recent event revealed that tickets may have been oversold and deemed the event dangerous.
EDC Orlando takes place every year at Tinker Field, next to Camping World Stadium, in Orlando, Florida. The event organizers have shared that over 300,000 people attended the festival throughout the three days. Attendees of this year’s Sunday crowd experienced packed crowds. It was revealed that by the third day, many people were crushed in the crowd while leaving the stages.
Fans have concerns that the stadium is not big enough to host the iconic event since it has become more popular. It was the overcrowding that was the only worry for the attendees. Other than that concern, the event was a success. It brought in 140 artists from around the world to gather together for a weekend to celebrate global dance music.
EDC is organized by Insomniac Events and is one of the largest electronic dance music festival series in North America. Over the past few years, as dance music festival attendance has risen, there have been trends of overselling tickets.
The same thing happened at the Electric Zoo Festival in New York last year. On Day 3, the staff did not allow any more attendees to enter the facility because of over capacity. This caused hundreds of patrons to flood the gates to enter the event.
EDC Orlando has already undergone ticket sales for next year’s event. EDC Orlando 2025 is on pre-sale now on their website. The festival will take place from November 7-9 at Tinker Field. There has been no statement from the event organizers about the claims of overcrowding. Attendees hope that next year the event organizers will take into consideration all of the people who are hoping to attend the event.
