The Brooklyn Mirage teases renovations in cryptic new posts
In a series of enigmatic Instagram posts, the Brooklyn Mirage has teased potential renovations for its 2025 reopening.
Marking the end of its 2024 season, NYC’s Brooklyn Mirage has posted a mysterious series of updates on its social media. Each containing no more than a handful of words, fans and industry insiders now speculate about plans for venue enhancements.
The two posts include captions reading “in spring it appears…” and “…in winter it disappears. Countless people have speculated in the comments and on Reddit as to what the new changes may be. Some include a retractable roof, a second story to the Great Hall, and a 360-degree video wall.
In its most recent post, Brooklyn Mirage posted a highlight reel commemorating its blowout season. Adding a bit of nostalgia, they wrote in the caption, “Last night we said goodbye to a season full of endless memories & iconic moments.” Moreover, they assured that “the journey is not over, the next generation is coming” and “[a] new Brooklyn Mirage appears May 2025.”
These teasers come just after the appointment of Josh Wyatt as the new CEO of its parent company Avant Gardner. With over 20 years of experience in the entertainment and hospitality space, Wyatt will likely usher in a new era for the venue. Prior to this role, Wyatt was CEO of members-only club NeueHouse and its partner brand, Fotografiska, as well as President of Equinox Hotels. Unquestionably, Wyatt plans to further elevate the Brooklyn Mirage with his knack for curating cultural experiences.
Brooklyn Mirage has continuously attracted the biggest names in music, especially within the electronic scene. Just to name a few, artists like Deadmau5, Carl Cox, Hardwell, and Armin van Buuren have all graced its stage. However, in addition to reimagining the space, Wyatt plans to broaden the venue’s reach by welcoming new artists.
As the Brooklyn Mirage prepares for its next phase, fans can look forward to the rebirth of a familiar space. For more updates about renovations to the Brooklyn Mirage, follow them on Instagram.
