Tape B announces he’s ‘stepping back from heavy touring’ in 2025

American bass artist Tape B has let fans know that he plans to focus on a handful of curated events rather than consistent touring next year.

Describing Tape B’s past couple of years as busy would be an understatement. As he’s quickly become one of bass music’s most in-demand artists, his tour schedule has reflected that, jetting around the globe to put on show after show for fans everywhere. But as 2024 comes to a close, Tape B has announced that next year will bring a pause to this hectic touring lifestyle.

In an Instagram post, Tape B has shared that he plans on “stepping back from heavy touring to focus mainly on curated events” in the first half of 2025. The post included posters for five such events: two nights in Chicago January 17th and 18th, one night in Toronto on January 31st, and two nights in Las Vegas on February 7th and 8th. Support for these shows include Smoakland, Effin, Trickstar, and OkayJake.

Tape B also mentioned that some of these shows will be dedicated to CarTunes 4, the latest in his popular mix series which is set to drop in January. His CarTunes mixes tend to feature a variety of throwback rap and hip hop tracks weaved into current bass music, often edited or flipped by him. The much-anticipated new mix is sure to bring the house down in all three cities early next year.

The post did not give any indication of what the second half of 2025 will look like for Tape B, be it a return to heavy touring or a few more of these special shows. Either way, fans everywhere will be waiting with bated breath to find their next opportunity to see the red-hot bass artist perform live. Tickets to the Chicago, Toronto and Las Vegas shows are on sale now on Tape B’s website.
