Kompany shares heartfelt message after following shocking kidney disease diagnosis

Kompany has addressed his “new reality” after being diagnosed with chronic kidney disease.

Kompany has recently been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. It seems that he has been struggling both mentally and physically recently, and finally understands the cause behind it. Chronic kidney disease is a long-term condition that occurs when the kidneys are damaged and cannot filter blood properly. The most common causes of this disease are high blood pressure, diabetes, aging, and high cholesterol. 

In a message directed to his fans, Kompany addressed the reasoning as to why he has “been a bit quiet across [his] socials lately” He continues that he feels lucky to have a pulse on what has been going on so that he can now steer in the right direction to take care of the health issue.

He does confess that “adjusting to this new reality has been hard for [him],” Especially because music has always been an outlet for him. Kompany has shared that to heal, he will need to slow down though he still will be playing shows. 

In a heartfelt message, he reminds fans that we must take care of ourselves, especially if we are not feeling great. He encourages his fans to, “get checked up, listen to your body, and don’t ignore things that feel ‘off.’”

Kompany ends his message by thanking his fans for the support that they have given him. He insists that he will be not leaving any time soon. Comments have been flooded with support and well-wishes from artists like Subtronics, Ghastly, Cyclops, and Infekt. Artists and fans alike are encouraging a speedy road to healing and recovery.

Kompany has been working hard on his music this year and has dropped bass-heavy collaboration tracks like “Never The Same” and “Never Come Back.” His latest single, “Jackpot” was released last week and can be listened to below.
