Man at Lost Lands charged with assault after driving through campground tents injuring two attendees

An attendee’s reckless actions at Lost Lands turned a peaceful campsite full of tents into chaos.

Lost Lands was rattled on Friday of the festival as the grounds filled with sirens after officials became aware of a report that an attendee had run over multiple tents in the campground area with a truck. The area became swelled with distressed campers and had other attendees worried from afar. No one could imagine how someone could run over tents in a peaceful environment. 

Noah Curtis, 24, from Westerville, Ohio, was arrested on Sunday and charged with aggravated vehicular assault. He was booked into Licking County jail and put on a $250,000 bond. The Licking County Sheriff’s Crash Team Investigators are further investigating the case. 

Two people who have not been identified were injured after the horrible event but are both now in stable condition. Emergency services arrived on the grounds and one man was treated for minor injuries while a female was reportedly transported to the hospital with a broken hip.

According to records, Curtis told police he was on LSD and said “psychedelics are wild” when he was being arrested. He also allegedly admitted to running over people at the time saying, “I ran over like six people.” Lost Lands ensured safety was its main priority and remained professional with empathy for the victims.

Reddit user (Lumpy_Scholar_1407) shared a photo of barricades and caution tape with police posted up while at the festival and said they wanted to document their experience. They explained how people who were nearby immediately called 911 and worked to help anyone who was involved.

The incident has been referred to as a “worst nightmare” by many and hopefully can shine a light on others to never get behind the wheel while intoxicated. Two others also died at Lost Lands this year for unknown reasons.
