Top acts to see at California’s Off The Grid Campout festival
California festival Off the Grid Campout generates hype over refreshing, anti-commercialized lineup.
Off The Grid Campout has recently released its lineup for its DIY burner-esque weekend in Apple Valley, California. The festival is scheduled for Friday, October 10th through Monday, October 14th at Sirius Ranch.
Daytime activities at Off The Grid Campout will include yoga, a healing sanctuary, art cars, art installations, and more, while nocturnal activities will focus on more immersive, music-filled experiences among the festival’s many stages. What started as a small, 50-person event in the desert in 2015 has grown into a burgeoning music festival with more than 1,200 people vibing in a desolate paradise.
The festival promises 76+ hours of uninterrupted house music with a motley group of DJs and producers. Exron’s top picks for artists to see at the upcoming festival include DJ Sneak, Kevin Knapp, Robot Sunrise, Thee-O, Donald Glaude (DNB Set), Rabbit In The Moon, Dela Moon, Anton Tumas, Beacon Bloom, DJ Dan, DJ Reza, Friendly Fire, Left/Right, Max & Dana, Nightstalker (Techno Set), S-Doobie w/ MC Dino, SOOHAN, Tone Of Arc (Live), and many more.
Off The Grid Campout will also showcase riveting performances from Gary Richards (Destructo), live-electronic duo Pillowtalk, as well as Gettoblaster the Chicago house classic, and UK star DJ Jimpster. Some of the performances are DJ sets while others are live, differentiating Off The Grid Campout from more commercialized festivals.
The weekend event will also host a DJ competition, granting one lucky winner the ability to play for the broader festival. To compete, hopeful DJs uploaded a 60-minute freestyle to SoundCloud, then shared it on social media along with the link to an original production.
Doubling down on the commitment to provide opportunities to young artists, Off The Grid Campout will also feature a “young DJ” stage. While the festival provides opportunities for the next generation of electronic dance, these young, refulgent, and aspiring artists will serenade festival-goers with incessant house music all weekend long.
