Chris Lake and Chris Lorenzo to drop their first-ever Anti Up album years in the works

Anti Up will release their debut album on October 11.

Chris Lake and Chris Lorenzo, the dynamic duo behind, Anti Up, have officially announced their debut album ‘What Is Life’. The project will release on October 11, distributed by Big Beat Records in collaboration with Atlantic Records.

This marks the first full-length collaboration for the duo. They have previously delighted fans with high-energy tracks like “Chromatic” and “Something’s About to Go Down”. Not to mention their 2018 ‘Hey Pablo’ EP. To build excitement ahead of the album launch, they recently released a two-track EP featuring “Freaky Feed Me” and “Outlaws.”

The announcement follows the success of their earlier singles “The Weekend” and “Control The Media,” both of which will also be included in the upcoming album. In a joint statement shared on Instagram, Lake and Lorenzo expressed their enthusiasm for the project: “Anti Up is both of our passion projects. We’ve had a blast writing and creating this album, but we’ve also managed to ignore every request to finish it on time. So here it is, years later. We f***** love it, and hope you do too. Better late than never.”

Since their formation in 2018, Anti Up has become known for their innovative sound, blending elements of deep house, acid, and punk influences to capture the essence of the UK’s underground dance scene. Their latest tracks channel the raw energy of past musical movements while incorporating contemporary, rave-ready elements. “Freaky Feed Me” features vocals from Dutch-American artist Leven Kali, while “Outlaws” showcases the distinctive sound of Audio Bullys’ Simon Franks.

‘What Is Life’ promises to be more than just a collection of dance tracks; it aims to explore deeper societal themes and personal narratives. Despite its serious undertones, the album is designed to energize dance floors worldwide. Fans got an exclusive sneak peek of the album during Anti Up’s electrifying Coachella performance earlier this year. The Mojave tent was completely transformed into a vibrant underground rave atmosphere.

As the album nears, details like the full tracklist remain under wraps. However, you can still enjoy hits like “What Is Life,” “Shambles,” and more. Excitement for the album had already been building since January when Lake confirmed on social media that it was complete.

Anti Up continues to push the boundaries of dance music with their unique blend of sounds and bold experimentation. ‘What Is Life’ signifies a new chapter for the creative duo.

My name is Sebastian Medina and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Ever since I could remember, I have always been in love with dance music. I appreciate all genres and sub-genres but I definitely gravitate towards house and techno. Being from LA I was blessed with an amazing nightlife full of different artists coming in and out of town throughout the years. Some of my favorite artists include Seth Troxler, Michael Bibi, Mr.Carmack, PAWSA, and Folamour.
