Bartender Fired After Verbal Altercation with Yookie and Sullivan King’s Wife at Lost Lands Festival

A bartender from Lost Lands has shared her unfortunate experience with Yookie and Sullivan King’s wife, which led to her getting fired.

Lost Lands, known for bringing together top bass music artists, became involved in an unexpected controversy when a bartender was fired after a heated argument involving dubstep artist Yookie and Madeleine Prescott, the wife of Sullivan King. The incident began when the bartender refused to serve alcohol to Yookie because he didn’t provide an ID, leading to a confrontational exchange that was documented on social media.

According to a video posted by the bartender, the incident began when Yookie attempted to order a drink without showing proper identification. After she refused service, Yookie allegedly became agitated, demanding, “Do you know who I am?” The bartender maintained her stance, which led to Yookie rallying other artists in the artist area to criticize her. The bartender, visibly upset, recounted how the pressure from the artists, combined with working a 10-hour shift, left her in tears. Her manager eventually pulled her aside to calm down, but the conflict was far from over.

Upon returning to her post later in the day, the bartender encountered Yookie once again, who began shouting at her. Fortunately, Yookie’s brother and other artists stepped in to defuse the situation, and Yookie eventually apologized for his behavior. However, the bartender’s challenging day only worsened after an interaction with Sullivan King’s wife, Madeleine. The bartender noted that the artist’s wife handed her a “blue card” to pay for drinks, but she was unaware of how the cards worked. After giving the drinks to Barber and keeping the card, thinking it was a one-time voucher, the misunderstanding escalated.

The following day, the wife reported the bartender for allegedly stealing the card, prompting festival staff to confront the bartender. Despite her attempt to return the card and clarify the situation, the poor bartender was reportedly scolded and then terminated from the event.

I am no longer attending or working any festivals. Meeting my favorite artists and then getting treated like trash broke my heart. Thank you for listening to my rant. #lostlands #festival #bartender #fyp

The bartender’s video, which details her side of the story, has garnered significant attention on TikTok, with many viewers sympathizing with her experience, especially regarding the grueling 18-hour shifts festival bartenders are required to work. The incident has sparked a wider conversation about the treatment of service workers at music festivals and the pressures they face while managing high-profile interactions.

My name is Emilee Gabbard. I currently live in sunny Orange County, CA. By day I am a project manager working in the aerospace industry, but by night a music blogger for yours truly, Exron Music! I have been writing for Exron Music for around eight months now and cannot wait to see what is to come throughout the years. At festivals and clubs, you will find me at any house and techno stage supporting my favorites Eli Brown or Dom Dolla, or belting every word to Porter Robinson tracks wherever he performs.
