Bass Artist Meduso Releases First Single ‘Hiraeth’ from upcoming EP Ahead of Wakaan Festival Debut
Bass producer Meduso has released his newest single, ‘Hiraeth’ ahead of his Wakaan Festival debut at the end of the month.
Bass newcomer Meduso has dropped an insane track ahead of his Wakaan Festival debut at the end of the month. Debuting his vocal and lyricism talent on his new track ‘Hiraeth,’ Meduso continues to add diversity to his music repertoire.
Hailing from Boston, Meduso is a trailblazer in bass music with his gritty yet liquid sound. He can marry rock to dubstep; distinguishing himself from other mainstream producers charting a similar course. Mere talent sets him apart from fellow artists which reinvigorates and propels the sub-genre ‘liquid bass’. In this track, Meduso flexes his lyrical abilities and shares his voice with the listener for the first time.
No stranger to a release, Meduso has been on the scene since 2020 with ‘Yugen.’ As a graphic designer, he sets himself apart by creating self-curated visual experiences for his shows. This visual talent will be reflected in an upcoming music video for the single to drop post-EP release.
Drawing inspiration from the rock station radio waves of the 2000s with the likes of Linkin Park, Deftones, and Metallica, Meduso is innovative and fresh in his musical production. Adding a dash of hip-hop from his former EPs, singles, and flips are the bricks to cementing himself as a proper name in the bass scene.
His efforts have not gone unnoticed either. Meduso’s creative and eclectic sound has drawn the ears and attention of Mersiv, Subtronics, Jantsen, Liquid Stranger, and Ravenscoon. As many artists pave their way via a catchy SoundCloud flip, Meduso sets himself apart. As heard in ‘Hireath’ each lyric, chord, bassline, melody, and synth is curated to create a track that feels like a personal journey through his artistry. His attention to detail sets him apart from his fellow producers.
Taking to Instagram in celebration, Meduso wrote, “My new single Hiraeth, off my upcoming EP, is now streaming on all platforms. This track has always been a special one to me and has held deep personal meaning as both the track and I evolved over the years. I hope this song can serve as a triumphant ode to make peace with what was as we make room for what will be.” Eager ears await the release of the full EP.
