Sinego Reveals Second Installment of Debut Album, ‘Alterego (Deluxe)’
Sinego has dropped the second iteration of his debut project, ‘Alterego (Deluxe),’ along with a documentary of his artistic musings while on the road.
Mexican-Colombian producer and instrumentalist Sinego has unveiled the highly anticipated second installment of his debut album, ‘Alterego (Deluxe)’. A masterful blend of house and techno with Latino vibes, this project underscores Sinego’s commitment to uplifting underrepresented cultures through music.
In 2023, Sinego embarked on a global journey, collaborating with vocalists, Bolero guitarists, and other regional musicians. Namely, his goal was to create a concept album that celebrates the rich musical heritage of Latin America. Sinego’s lengthy travels culminated in the creation of ‘Alterego’, a two-part album paying homage to countries through their native sounds. Some of the countries include Peru, Ecuador, Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela, Cuba, and Sinego’s native Colombia.
The first half of the album introduced listeners to the “El Día” (Day) portion, characterized by lighter, more melodic tones. Today’s release has shifted the mood with the “La Noche” counterpart, delivering darker more tantalizing versions of the daytime volume. Particularly, La Noche offers a sensual blend of rolling basslines, Spanish vocals, and tribal sounds. Undoubtedly, La Noche has perfectly captured the passion and intensity of Latin America, offering listeners a multi-layered auditory experience.
To complement ‘Alterego (Deluxe)’, Sinego has also released a travel documentary that provides an intimate look into his creative process. The documentary captures his time in the studio with a diverse array of collaborators, including Badwolf, Angélica Garcia, and YoSoyMatt. Furthermore, it offers fans a deeper understanding of the cultural influences that integrally shaped the project.
Beyond this album’s numerous artist features, Sinego has certainly made a name for himself with an array of impressive collaborations. As a leading figure in Latin House, he has previously worked with notable artists like Sofi Tukker, Nervo, and The Knocks. Undoubtedly, Sinego’s deep-rooted has earned him a reputation as a trailblazer in the genre, and his busy schedule reflects his growing influence.
Some of Sinego’s upcoming performances include the Brooklyn Mirage on September 22nd with Diplo, as well as his residency at Cova Santa Ibiza. Moreover, he has confirmed an upcoming appearance at Set Underground’s annual Dia De Los Muertos Festival in Oaxaca. With ‘Alterego (Deluxe)’, Sinego has set a strong example of the vitality that Latin influence can bring to house music.
