Terror Reid confirms that the Getter project is ‘officially done’
Terror Reid confirms on the ‘Almost Friday Podcast’ that Getter is over.
Tanner Petulla aka Terror Reid, has recently given an update on the future of his EDM project, Getter. On the ‘Almost Friday Podcast’ he mentioned that the pandemic was the start of this decision. Although he had Getter shows post-pandemic it seems as if this has been looming over Petulla for some time.
In the podcast, he states, “EDM doesn’t do it for me—it’s like yawning, it just doesn’t matter.” “For me, there’s no fulfillment in it. I know plenty of people who DJ for fun and genuinely love it.” He continued, “You know what it is for me? Once I stopped getting super messed up, it stopped being fun.” “I’d be playing at EDC, with tens of thousands of kids in the crowd, and I’d see people in the front row who look like they’re about to pass out.” He added, “It got to the point where I was stuck in an anxiety loop on stage. Everyone’s having a great time, but some of these people look like they’re fading away.”
In addition to this, Petulla also shined light on some of the peers that have helped him along the way. He mentions Oliver Tree and Skrillex who have both played a big part of Getter with songs such as “Forget It” and the support of Skrillex‘s OWSLA early on in his career.
For now, it appears the Getter project is done and the focus going forward will be on Terror Reid. Reid is gearing up for the release of his upcoming album ‘Manifesto’ on September 20. The album will also be followed by a tour which kicks off on Oct 2. Reid has already out out two tracks from the album, “NOD YA HEAD!”, and “WANT U AROUND” featuring Rocci.
Apart from this, Petulla recently reprised his role as Bryce Meyer in The Real Bros of Simi Valley movie where he acted alongside Jimmy Tatro, Saun White, and Tony Hawk. Fans consistently make the Getter and Terror Reid realization after watching the film.
Finally, while there might not be a Getter project to look forward to, fans can still enjoy the artistic creativity that Petulla brings to both the stage and screen.
