Live Nation employee threatens festival-goers with derogatory words at Bass Canyon Festival

Live Nation has faced backlash after a video of an employee at last weekend’s Bass Canyon Festival surfaced where they threaten festival-goers.

In a shocking incident at the Bass Canyon Festival, this past weekend a Live Nation employee was caught on camera hurling derogatory remarks and threats at festival-goers. The incident, which has sparked outrage within the electronic dance music community, was captured in a video that quickly went viral on social media.

The video, posted on X, formerly Twitter, by user @melodiemuggy, shows the employee using offensive language and making menacing threats, leaving many festival attendees and EDM fans appalled. The creator of the video posted the video calling for action stating “Y’all hire people that threaten to beat festival goers a**** and call them “f****ts?” do better, yuck ~  @LiveNation @thegorgeamp”

The video, which has since garnered thousands of views and comments, depicts a situation that appears to have escalated beyond control. The Live Nation employee can be seen aggressively confronting a group of festival-goers, using slurs and derogatory language. But, he also seems not to understand that the words he uses are hurtful.

The exact cause of the altercation remains unclear, but viewers and festival attendees alike have widely condemned the employee’s behavior. Many have called for Live Nation to take immediate action against the employee, citing the need for a safe and inclusive environment at music festivals.

Bass Canyon, known for its vibrant community and positive atmosphere, is one of the most anticipated festivals in the bass music scene. The event, held annually at the Gorge Amphitheatre, attracts thousands of fans from across the country. For many, the festival is a highlight of the year, a place to celebrate the music they love in a welcoming environment. However, this incident has cast a shadow over the event, raising concerns about the safety and treatment of attendees by festival staff.

In response to the video, Live Nation has posted a statement stating “Bass Canyon, The Gorge, and Live Nation have zero tolerance for abuse. This contract worker does not reflect our values and has been terminated.” While the Bass Canyon Festival will undoubtedly continue to be a beloved event for bass music fans, this incident has highlighted the need for greater accountability and respect within the festival industry. Fans hope in the future all workers of our beloved events will be better streamlined for hire.
