Katy Perry under investigation after allegedly filming new music video on island’s protected sand dunes

Environmental authorities are investigating dunes of S’Espalmador following Katy Perry’s recent Release ‘Lifetimes’.

An environmental investigation is underway following Katy Perry’s newest music video ‘Lifetimes‘. There is speculation that the flick was allegedly shot on protected dunes. Just last week, Katy Perry’s music video went live on YouTube. The pop star is showing off her figure in a bikini dancing on the beaches of Formentera and clubbing in Ibiza. This accusation implicates the pop star, who also filmed slightly north at the dunes of S’Espalmador without permission—an area that requires authorization for filming.

While the investigation is ongoing, Katy Perry has yet to comment. There are implications the production crew did not secure the proper permits, and the crime is considered to be “a crime for environmental infringement”. The Environment Department of the Balearic Islands is seeking to investigate. It is not clear at this time if there is any environmental damage to the protected dunes.

The environmental authorities are not considering “crime against the environment”, as filming is allowed with proper permits and authorization. WeOwnTheCity also has yet to comment. Based on the accusations, there were shots taken in restricted areas, including preserved lands and Ses Salines Natural Park.

Dropping her 6th studio album ‘143’ on September 20th via Capitol Records, Katy Perry is determined to make her way to the top of music charts. She received mixed feedback following her 1st single off the album, ‘WOMAN’S WORLD’ recently released on July 10th. Critics are claiming the single is a ‘catastrophic comeback‘.

Despite the controversy, Katy Perry seems to be living her best life in her ‘Lifetimes’ video. Bringing back the 90’s style with her animal print bikinis, getting creative with her bulletin board album track list, and racing off on the back of a motorcycle through Spain. Scenes transition from jumping off cliffs, having food catered to the boat, and dancing until the sun goes down.

Closing out the video, Katy Perry shuts down the night in the nearby clubs in Ibiza. She’s wearing a red set with a sparkled top and sunglasses, dancing by the DJ decks, and closing out with her feet up on the boat with a gag bag.
