Afrojack makes the ‘biggest mistake’ of his 20-year career during Ultra Europe performance
Afrojack had made the self-proclaimed “biggest mistake” of his DJing career while playing to 45,000 people at Ultra Europe.
Afrojack had accidentally turned the music off right before the drop while performing at the music festival in Croatia. Synchronized fireworks had gone off to silence while fans took the opportunity to chant the DJ’s name. The artist had laughed before picking up the microphone.
He had told the crowd that it had been the biggest mistake of his career, joking that they witnessed history. Afrojack had gone on to play the final drop to the crowd, making up for the error soon after. More pyrotechnics and visuals played out while he had continued dancing.
The DJ has been creating music since he was a child and got his start in the industry when he was 14. Since releasing his first track, Afrojack has made a name for himself in dance music and production. He has an impressive repertoire with Grammy Award wins and nominations, a record label, and a steady spot in DJ Mag’s Top 10 DJs.
The Dutch artist has collaborated with pop artists like Missy Elliott, Nicki Minaj, and Bebe Rexha. He also consistently works with fellow DJs like David Guetta, Hardwell, and DubVision. Apart from Ultra Europe, he continuously makes appearances at festivals like Coachella, Tomorrowland, and more.
The producer is preparing to play global events like STEREOPARC in France, Open Beatz in Germany, and Medusa in Spain. Over the last 20 years, Afrojack has been working to create fun music and shows.
On top of a busy summer, Afrojack’s latest release was made with stars Pitbull, Ne-Yo, and DJ Buddha. Get a vibe for the artist’s party anthems and listen to the collaboration “2 The Moon.”
