Club Space will close for Renovations this Summer

Miami’s favorite rave spot has announced a summer hiatus.

Every Floridian’s frequented late-night rave spot is temporarily closing for renovation. Starting Sunday, June 2nd, Miami Music Week favorite Club Space and its sub-venues, Floyd and The Ground, will be closed for renovations to the exit infrastructures. This renovation is due to the construction of the new E11EVEN hotel and residences right next door. The property is set to consist of two 65-story towers on the east and west sides of Club Space.

The developer’s plan for the E11EVEN luxury condos was to connect the surrounding condo’s dual towers with an elevated hallway wrapping behind the club and, of course, the emergency exits that exist there, so the renovation was needed. While this may sound like a massive letdown for fans, the team at Club Space has released statements assuring that there will be a speedy return. In the meantime, fans can still go experience Club Space’s programming at its sister venue, Factory Town.

With no exact reopening date, the co-owners have stated that if everything goes to plan, Club Space’s operations will resume in autumn 2024 and there will be no impact on the celebrations for their 25th anniversary in March 2025. The renovations that will take place are at their core just for compliance with city code and will hopefully be done in a way that leaves Club Space looking the way it always has.

According to Club Space’s coowners, Coloma Kaboomsky, David Sinopoli, and Davide Danese, the temporary closing will be used to demolish the staircase that leads into the upstairs Terrace. Said staircase will be replaced with a new one on the north side and will integrate the club’s emergency exits into an additional passageway that will lead directly to the dance floor from the ground floor below it.

Club Space

Club Space refuses to go silently and has plans to host two weekends of closing parties that will feature many Miami selectors such as Ms. Mada, Sister System, and True Vine as well as other headliners Floorplan, Honey Dijon, and Solomun. To also satisfy the needs of the fans, Club Space plans to release weekly Soundcloud and YouTube uploads that showcase sets from Club Space’s history.
