Kasablanca Collaborates with Lane 8 on Emotional Single ‘Remission’ as Member Micky Awaits Cancer Treatment Results

Melodic techno duo, Kasablanca, continues to hope for a light at the end of the tunnel. Unfortunately, the group’s rapid rise to fame was put to a pause in January 2024 when Micky Kasablanca received a sudden cancer diagnosis. With the power of love, it became affirmative to the Kasablanca duo that this is all a part of their journey as artists.

The melodic techno producers have a distinct ethereal sound with an excelling skill in emotive storytelling. Ultimately, their sound seamlessly fuses itself with electro-pop and minimal techno. The group has collaborated with high-profile artists such as Vintage Culture, Lane 8, and Bob Moses. Furthermore, the group has made releases on renowned labels such as Armada, Mau5trap, Ajunadeep, and more.

Through an extensive two months of urgent treatment, Micky continues to stay positive while awaiting full remission results. In light of an emotional comeback, Kasablanca has released their new single “Remission” with renowned producer Lane 8. Moreover, this will be their second time collaborating with Daniel Goldstein of Lane 8 since their 2020 single “Run”.

The rising melodic house single “Remission” is composed of a cinematic aura featuring luxuriant synthesizers, ethereal vocal melodies, and a hypnotic, yet pulsating rhythm. Notably, the emotive single builds to a euphoric climax that feels close to an exhilarating release of fresh air.

The single made its debut announcement with an exclusive live performance from Micky during Kasablanca’s performance at Ultra Music Festival in March. Moreover, Micky states they named the song “Remission” in light of hoping for optimistic results regarding his remission. This was Micky’s first performance after two months of the most aggressive therapy he has experienced.
