Galactica has launched its very own record label with its love of techno music in mind.

Galactica Music has been described as a record label for the ravers and techno music lovers.

Galactica has seen great success at its festivals and has already hit the ground running with a 12-track compilation that came with the record label announcement. The compilation is called ICARIUS Volume 1 and consists of tracks from various techno artists which Galactica Music said it carefully curated to show the essence of the genre. Along with portraying the intent of the label.

ICARIUS Volume 1 is said to be a comprehensive exploration of the techno scene. It offers a range of different techno genres including electronic, industrial, acid break, and hard techno. Some of the track’s clever descriptions include “In a Distant Land,” “Nocturnal Mindset,” “ London Slurp,” and “Front Row Raver.” Galactica Music said it is a collection that brings together accomplished artists showcasing their techno prowess across sonic spectrums.

The compilation is being presented as both a 12-track VA on double vinyl and a digital album. The vinyl version comes with two different vinyls and the tracks are split onto each. Offering a vinyl option of its first release is a unique way to enter the industry.

Festival-wise, Galactica recently had its annual New Year’s Eve festival which was a sold-out event and had performances from major artists including 999999999, ihatemodels, Kraftwerk, Indira Paganotto, Ankkh, Callush, Lorenzo Raganzini and Paolo Ferrara, and more. The festival brand will also be throwing an event on February 10 at Tenax in Firenze, Italy.

Galactica said the record label is just the beginning of what is set to be a ground-breaking year for Galactica and that everyone should “watch this space.” There will be more festivals and music releases to look forward to in the coming months.
